I haven’t painted for a while and it felt strange to be back on the beach again. I ended up sitting there for a long time just looking at the clouds and the sea before I actually started to work.

It had been raining persistently all morning but it kept on promising to stop, so as soon as there was a break I took my chance. As I was getting close to finishing the rain started again. Leaving a myriad of tiny droplets scattered across the surface of the canvas.
