Another windy day and, to make things worse, the tide was coming in fast and was already high up the beach when I started to paint.
I positioned myself as far away from the breaking waves as I could, with my back against the sea wall. But even then the spray kept covering my glasses, making it difficult to see. However just as I was thinking I might give up the sun broke through the clouds in the furthest distance and I decided to stick it out. But I had to work quickly and make a dash for it at the last minute to avoid being soaked by the waves as they rushed in.
