I come to the beach so regularly now that I rarely take anything away with me. But today, as I was sitting hoping for a break in the clouds, I noticed a small blue pebble. The pebble stood out among all the brown and grey and I couldn’t resist picking it up to take back to the studio. And later, as I started to paint, a tiny sliver of blue also emerged from the blanket of grey cloud.
