Finally, a morning that wasn’t misty, wet and grey. I’ve been keen to do a painting for days now but the weather’s been impossible. Today at last the rain stopped, the sun came out and I got down to the beach.

The sea was still churned up after all the rough weather and the day was fresh and windy. But it seemed to hold the promise of warmer days to come and I couldn’t help smiling as I worked.
