The sea was calm and quiet today – all the drama was in the sky. Dramatic shafts of light were shining through breaks in the thick cloud and although I’ve often seen this before, normally it doesn’t last long enough for me to study and paint it.

Fortunately today was different. Over and over again rays of sunlight appeared through the slow moving clouds, giving me all the time I needed.
